It’s October! I love October; I love Fall; I love pumpkins!! When Nick and I lived in New Hampshire, I developed a deep love for the season of change… crisp weather, vibrant leaves, pumpkins and gourds galore, funky scarecrows, decorated hay bales, gardens full of mums, baking… ahh, it’s definitely one of my favorite seasons now. I grew up in Florida which has only 1 season– summer. So I never really understood what 4 seasons meant until I moved away.
This year I am obsessed with nontraditional pumpkins like albino and pale green heirloom pumpkins. I found a pretty heirloom pumpkin for $5 at my local grocery store and I purchased 2 faux albino pumpkins at Michaels for $13. There are so many things carving and crafting things you can do with pumpkins–just check out Martha Stewart’s website! I’m still collecting ideas for my pumpkin carving project… let’s say it’ll be an untraditional idea. 🙂
