6 month checkup

nice hair dudeXander had his 6th month check up today (just a couple days early). Poor little guy had 3 sticks and 1 oral vaccine (which is 1 less than last time), but he was a champ and didn’t cry for too long. Dr. Daly & I discussed Xander’s development and she’s very pleased with his progress. She agreed that I will need to invest in a convertible carseat within the next couple months as Xander will be outgrowing his current one (Mommy can barely lift it so she just takes Xander out and carries him everywhere now). Dr. Daly also said I can increase his food intake to 2-3 jars a day (he just LOVES his veggies and fruits) and can introduce meats and juice anytime now. She felt his gums and didn’t feel any swelling so no teeth in the very near future. Xander’s next checkup is in December. I’ll write a blog entry later this week about Xander’s milestones. Until then, here are his 6 month stats:

Weight: 17 lbs (50th percentile)

Height: 27.5 inches (90th percentile)

Head: 17.5 inches (75th percentile)

  1. Hi Leigh and Nick
I have just signed in so now I can leave comments. Ah Ah…

Isn’t our Grandson Beautiful…. He just has the best smiley faces ever. We just love him and can’t wait to see him and of course spoil him rotten on his next visit in the Fall.

Leigh you are doing a great job a fantastic Mother.
Of course Nick you are a great Dad such a natural… Xanders many happy faces show how much he is cared for a loved by Mummy and Daddy.
Well we are off on our Cruise this weekend and hopefully not dodging hurricanes in the Caribbean.
    Love you all.
