I had my final OB appointment today; my pregnancy experience has come to an end. YIPPEE!!! It’s hard to believe it’s been 8 weeks since Xander was born, but it has. As soon as I walked into the office, Dr. Behm saw me and walked around the counter to see Xander, who was peacefully sleeping in his car seat. As soon as he said,”Ah you brought the baby,” three nurses swarmed us. Everyone “ooo”ed and “ahh”ed and told me how beautiful and precious he was. They also marveled over the birth announcment that I had sent a couple weeks ago. It’s going into Dr. Behm’s Special Delivery album that sits in the waiting room. Next, the nurses led me to the back to check my BP and weight. So far I’ve lost 25 of the 40lbs that I gained during my pregnancy. Ugh! I was given a room and the nurses reassured me that if Xander started crying they’d come and help. Of course, he didn’t peep (he’s saving the crying for later). Dr. Behm checked me out and said I’m healed and gave me the green light. I can FINALLY start exercising! These last 15lbs will be the most challenging to lose and I sincerely hope it doesn’t take me 9 months to get back to my prepregnancy weight! Wish me luck! In other news, Xander turns 2 months on the 8th and has his dreaded 2 month checkup next Friday. He’ll be getting a ton of shots. I’ll update with a new Snapfish album shortly thereafter.
